Hi Shi,

Late November will be cold, with highs of around 14°C and lows of 2°C. There may be snowfall in the mountains and valleys, but it most likely won’t stick on roads.

Hakuba’s ski resorts will probably not be open during late November. Big resorts like Hakuba Happo One and Tsugaike generally open in the first/second week of December, and snow activities around Hakuba usually begin at the end of December.

Places to go in November include year-round attractions like Matsumoto Castle, Zenkoji Temple, and the Daio Wasabi Farm.

You may also be interested in picking fuji apples during late November. You can see some recommended fruit-picking areas on Go! Nagano’s autumn feature (see Yamanouchi Area Farms or Miharashi Farm in Ina).

Let me know if you have any other questions about visiting Nagano!

hi! thank you so much for your recommendations!

I’m actually very keen to bring my family for fruit-picking, may I know if the Yamanouchi fruit farm is worth going? because the others seem very far off and it might be a lil inconvenient.

thank you and have a good day! 🙂

Hi Shi,

I’m glad my answer could be of help.

I have picked apples in Yamanouchi before and had a great time. The fuji apples around Yamanouchi are especially delicious. For any specific questions about picking apples in Yamanouchi, please contact the Yamanouchi Tourism Association through the reservation form on their fruit-picking experience page.

I hope that helps.
