Hello, I would like to know the best place for skiing with children. I’ll be coming to Japan on March. Also I would like to know the price of the Shinkansen from Nagoya city or Anjo city. If there any website for Nagano packages one night staying please let me know. Than you very much.
For families, I would recommend Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Hakuba Happo One, or Tsugaike Ski Resort. All three resorts have plenty of beginner runs, as well as other activities that children can enjoy besides skiing. Nozawa’s ski resort is directly connected to the village, making for easy access if staying in a local hotel. Hakuba Happo and Tsugaike are both part of the Hakuba Valley, sharing a rechargeable lift pass and shuttle bus that runs until March 18th.
To reach the resorts from Nagoya, first take the Wide View Shinano train from Nagoya Station to Nagano Station (178 minutes, 6,810 yen). If you’re heading to Nozawa, then take the Iiyama line train to Iiyama Station (46 minutes, 530 yen), followed by the Nozawa Onsen Liner bus to the village (25 minutes, 600 yen).
If you’re heading to Hakuba, after arriving in Nagano take the Hakuba line bus to Happo Bus Terminal (75 minutes, 1,800 yen).
You can find more information about Nagano’s ski resorts on the Classic Resorts Japan website.
I hope that helps!
