Chino to Takato castle park

Hi there,

We had been planning on doing a trip to Takato castle park on April the 16th 2019 staying near Chino station

However, have just discovered that the timetable says busses only run until April the 14th. Is this correct? Is there any other way that we could visit the park? Would it be too late to see the blossoms on this date?

Thanks

Hi Amy,

The bus between Takato and Chino Station stops running after the 14th, so instead you would take the JR Chuo line train to Okaya Station, then switch to the JR Iida line and get off at Inashi Station.

From Inashi Station, take the Inashi-Takato bus to Takato Station. You can walk or a take a bus from there.

You’ll find more details on transportation to Takato Castle Park here.

Takato Castle Park should still be in bloom during your visit.

Thank you- Are there luggage lockers at any of these stations?

Hi Amy,

We received a similar question earlier this week, so I’ve included that answer below:

There aren’t any coin lockers at Inashi or Takato stations, but there are coin lockers at Inashi Bus Terminal, which is just a few minutes away from Inashi Station on foot. There are 4 large lockers as well as 8 small ones. Unfortunately, there are no other luggage storage options in the area.

Let me know if I can help with anything else.
