Hi, I am planning to go for hiking and camping in Kamikochi for 3-4 days in this August (summer holidays). I have “Naturehike 2, super lightweight waterproof 4 seasons tent” and “NatureHike Down Mummy Type Duck Winter Sleeping Bag” which can support upto -10℃~-20℃. I am just worried about the cold there, and whether i should be buying new tent and bag for this trip. I will be doing it again in Autumn (October) and need your suggestions how should i plan and what should i buy which can support me for August as well as October trip. Best Regards, Santosh

I would like to find out where can I buy Nagano Snow Resort Pass or Snow Monkey Pass. I will be going over to Nagano from Hakuba and would like to visit Zenkoji temple and Snow Monkey Park before heading for Kanazawa in the evening. So need to think all the cost including buses from Hakuba to Nagano, Nagano to Snow Monkey Park and go back to Nagano and visit to Zenkoji temple and come back to Nagano station. May I know which pass is best for this plan?

Hi guys! My names Shawn. Im from Melbourne, but i’ve spent the last 2 winters in Japan, enjoying the culture, and the snow. I love it so much that me and a friend are looking to buy ourselves a small hotel/lodge/pension, and run it ourselves. We are having trouble finding property that is for sale though. We’ve spent countless hours on Hakuba Real Estate, and Sakura Real Estate. My question is, are there other places that we havent looked at yet, that lists properties for sale in the mountain region? Are we only seeing the English websites? I cant help but think that surely there are more properties for sale than what I can find online! Are there ‘Japanese Only’ properties for sale that we are unable to search for? If anyone knows of a place to find Myoko/Nozawa/Hakuba real estate for sale, please let me know!
Hello! I will be visiting Japan at the end of April / start of May with my partner. This will be our second time visiting and we would like to see some places that we didn\\\’t visit on our last trip, mainly Nagano! However, it seems like such a vast area, I don\\\’t know where to begin. We have 3 days and would like to see some nature, do some hiking, visit some onsens and drink some sake 😉 would you have any recommendations on where to base ourselves? Would Nagano city be a good base? We will have the JR pass and will likely be coming from Tokyo. Any recommendations are most appreciated. Arigatou gozaimasu, Fraser
