The period from mid-June to early July has the most varieties of flowers in the year. The woods in Kamikochi are suddenly full of life with the arrival of migratory birds then. In Kamikochi, the temperature is around 25 degrees even during the midsummer. Creeks with cool water and fresh winds in the air will soothe your hot summer days.

The Akasawa Natural Recreational Forest is a natural forest with over 300-year-old hinoki cypress trees. This is the birthplace of forest therapy, and also counted as one of the three most beautiful forests in Japan. As you walk along their eight natural trails, you can rest your mind and body, seeing Iwana char fish in the streams and delicate small flowers in the grass. Hearing refreshing running water and singing birds on the trees are soothing.

From the one-hour-long walking trail, you can see Mt. Hokendake rising right in front of you, and the Southern Alps and Mt. Fuji can be seen in the distance. If you want to be more active and decide to do a two-hour climb (one way) to Mt. Komagatake, please contact us for a local mountain guide.

           2 採摘鮮果
======================================
